This year, we once again had the opportunity to support Cobb Christmas by stuffing a Cobb Community Transit Bus with toys for children in need. With the support of our employees, vendors and the local community that donated more than $8,000 in donations, we were able to fill the bus with nearly one thousand toys.
“We have been a member of the Cobb County community for more than 40 years and are delighted to partner with Cobb Christmas to help spread cheer to our neighbors this season,” said Kimberly Garwood, director of marketing at Traton Homes. “This year, we once again expanded our toy collection efforts by opening our model homes and corporate office as drop-off locations and we want to thank the generous members of the community who helped with this effort.”
“The outpouring of generosity from our employees, vendors and neighbors was truly spectacular. Many thanks to each and every one who helped make this project a huge success,” added Eric Price, chief operating officer at Traton Homes.
Started in 1963, Cobb Christmas is a non-profit, non-denominational organization that is dedicated to help low-income and working poor families of Cobb County during the holiday season. Through donations provided by Traton Homes and many others, Cobb Christmas is able to provide pre-stuffed stocking to each child, as well as a minimum of three gifts per child ages infant to 18. Families also receive a box of food to help prepare a delicious holiday meal.
