This July, Traton Homes is celebrating 43 fantastic years of building new homes in Atlanta! Since our founding in 1971 by brothers Bill and Milburn Poston, we have grown tremendously throughout the metro Atlanta area, and currently have new home communities in Cherokee, Cobb, Dekalb, Fulton, and Paulding counties. Most recently, we have expanded our new home offerings to St. Simons Island, Georgia, and will be coming soon to Charlotte, North Carolina!

From the beginning, we have been a family-owned company. Serving as both the family’s and company’s inspiration, Nellie Clifford Poston, mother of Bill and Milburn,​ has been an integral part of the business from the very first day, and at 95-years-old, is still a daily presence in the Traton office.  In honor of her dedication, we launched Nellie Poston Custom Homes in late 2013.

In addition to our venture into custom home building and expansions into St. Simons Island and Charlotte, we also build disaster recovery homes in Texas.
