You do not have to go to Buckhead or Midtown to celebrate the end of 2012 and the start of 2013. Restaurants in downtown Woodstock offer several options if you’re looking to celebrate the New Year near your new home in Cherokee County.
Here are some event ideas that are sure to help you ring in the New Year in style:
- PURE taqueria™: Spend New Year’s Eve on the rooftop bar at PURE taqueria™. This popular night spot is open until 1:00 a.m. allowing patrons to countdown to the New Year in authentic Mexican taqueria fashion.
- Fire Stone Wood Fired Pizza & Grill: To celebrate the New Year, Fire Stone has created a unique dining experience for those looking to enjoy a romantic dinner for two or a fun dinner with friends. For $45 per person, diners will enjoy a prix fixe menu that includes an amuse bouche, first course, second course, intermezzo, entrée, and dessert. A traditional champagne toast will also be offered along with fun party favors. Call 770-926-6778 to book your reservations for this unique experience.
- ICE Martini & Sushi Bar: Party goers can celebrate the New Year at downtown Woodstock’s newest hot spot, ICE, until 2:00 a.m. Those looking for dancing and an excellent sushi/tapas menu will love the atmosphere at ICE. The official New Year’s Eve party will kick off at 9:00 p.m. Cost of this event is $25 per person.
As an extra bonus for those staying in Woodstock, the Woodstock Police Department is offering free rides home through their Operation Safe Ride program. To be eligible for pick-up, participants must patronize an establishment in the Woodstock city limits and must live within a reasonable distance. Anyone needing a ride can call 678-617-9104.
