Did you know that America is the ice cream capital of the world? The country produces over 1.5 billion gallons of this sweet treat per year. If your family is screaming for ice cream, be sure to stop by the Atlanta Ice Cream Festival on Saturday, July 25, 2015. The fifth annual event will be held at Piedmont Park from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., and all are invited – even your four legged friends!
Of course, the festival will feature America’s favorite dessert – ice cream. But, it will also include a variety of health and wellness agencies, fitness routines, vendors, entertainment and so much more. Be sure to cheer on the competitors during the ice cream eating contest, sponsored by Bruster’s Real Ice Cream at 3 p.m.
But, that’s not all. The cherry on top of the cake, we mean ice cream, is that our Atlanta new homes are just a short drive away from all of the festivities. After you satisfy your sweet tooth, head over to Greenwich Park or Lafayette Square.
Both are just north of Atlanta in the Sandy Springs and Johns Creek areas. Priced from the $740,000s, Greenwich Park is a gated enclave of 21 single-family homes in Johns Creek that feature stunning exterior designs with four sides architectural detail and three-car side-entry garages. Elegant interiors showcase gourmet kitchens with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, hardwood flooring and well-appointed owner’s suites with large walk-in closets and luxurious baths. Children will attend the schools of State Bridge Crossing Elementary, Autrey Mill Middle and John’s Creek High.
Priced from the $370,000s, Lafayette Square is an established, gated townhome community in Sandy Springs. Gorgeous three-story townhomes and unique two-story townhomes with basements are artfully crafted with appealing exterior designs and desirable interior finishes. Nearby schools include Woodland Charter Elementary, Sandy Springs Middle and North Springs High.
