As another successful Cobb Christmas toy drive comes to an end, Traton Homes would like to say thank you to those who helped with this wonderful endeavor. With our donations and the donations of many others, Cobb Christmas will spread holiday cheer to many families in need this weekend.
“We have been a Cobb County homebuilder for more than 40 years and for nearly a decade we have partnered with Cobb Christmas to help spread holiday cheer to our neighbors in need,” said Kimberly Garwood, director of marketing at Traton Homes. “This year, we had the opportunity to expand our efforts by opening our model homes and corporate office as drop-off locations and we want to say thank you to members of the community that helped support Cobb Christmas 2013.”
In addition to the community, we would like to say thank you for the generosity of our employees and vendors whose donations allowed us to purchase an outpouring of toys and gifts for the organization. On Dec. 6, 2013, Traton employees came together to stuff a Cobb Community Transit Bus with donations and as a result of everyone’s generosity, the bus was stuffed with thousands of dollars in toys and gifts.
Cobb Christmas is a non-profit, non-denominational organization that is dedicated to helping low-income and working poor families of Cobb County during the holiday season. Through donations, Cobb Christmas is able to provide pre-stuffed stocking to each child, a minimum of three gifts per child ages infant through 18 and a box of food per family.
Cobb Christmas donations will be distributed to families this weekend on Friday, Dec. 13 through Sunday, Dec. 16 at Jim Miller Park. For more information on how you can get involved with Cobb Christmas, visit www.CobbChristmas.net.
