- Marietta Ball Drop – This year, during Marietta Square Winter, enjoy the first ever ball drop! Come ring in the New Year with two different celebrations on New Year’s Eve day and New Years Eve night. During the day, families can enjoy live music on the Bandstand in Glover Park, ice sculpting, family festivities and a special Children’s Ball Drop at 7 p.m. That night, adults can enjoy a midnight square drop in the heart of the Marietta Square. Dine on food from local restaurants and venues will stay open late with live entertainment continuing through the night.
- Six Flags Holiday in the Park – Get your walking shoes on and get ready for a Holiday in the Park at Six Flags Over Georgia. Acting fast and buying a 2016 pass will secure free entry into this year’s Holiday in the Park event! Running until January 3, Holiday in the Park is a night time celebration of thrills, rides and LED lights! Ride everything from the Georgia Scorcher to Harley Quinn Spinsanity and the new Joker Chaos Coaster. Enjoy calmer rides while surrounded by lights including Sky Buckets or Riverview Carousel. Kids will enjoy riding the North Pole Express with Santa and his helpers!
- Dancing with the Stars – Live at the Cobb Energy Center, Dancing with the Stars is coming to Atlanta! On New Year’s Eve at 8 p.m., Dancing with the Stars: Live! will be in Atlanta for fans to see their favorite stars dance live. The “Dance All Night Tour” hits 43 cities, and it includes a one-of-a-kind touring production in which dancers are freed from the ballroom to an action-packed live show! Everything from exciting to romantic performance will wow Atlantans with choreography never before seen on the show.
- Rolling Stones tribute band – Marietta Square offers a unique venue called Earl Smith Strand Theater, and the Rolling Stone tribute band will rock the house on New Year’s Eve. Who better to kick off the New Year with than a tribute band to a true rock and roll classic! Led by Stephen Skipper, these Rolling Stones are back for New Year’s Eve and will truly help ring in 2016 with a memory. Fans will be satisfied with the pout, preen and raunchy riff they’d expect, bringing the entertainment level of an over-the-top arena show up close and personal in The Strand’s 500-seat theatre.
