Alpharetta is a vibrant city 22 miles north of Atlanta. Forbes Magazine named Alpharetta a Best Place to Move – and we couldn’t agree more. This great location is one of the reasons we’re building Encore Walk , a townhome community in Alpharetta’s Encore District. Here are a few reasons why we think you’ll love living in Alpharetta.
You’ll Eat Well
There are more than 200 restaurants in Alpharetta. You’ll find your favorite Southern food, farm-to-table fare, and dishes from around the world. At the downtown farmers market, held Saturday mornings April through October, you’ll find local vendors selling fruits, vegetables, meats, flowers, herbs, baked goods, and more.
Alpharetta is home to four cooking schools, including the only Publix Apron’s Cooking School in Georgia. Right around the corner is Jekyll Brewing, named one of the area’s hottest breweries by Eater Atlanta, serving seven varieties of craft beer in their taproom.
You’ll Be Entertained
You can always find something to do in Alpharetta. The city hosts many festivals and special events throughout the year. Mark your calendar for Taste of Alpharetta and the Alpharetta Arts Streetfest, both in May, and the European Market in September.
The arts are a big part of the community, and Art in the Park is an ongoing event. Local artists sell their crafts at this outdoor market from May to September. There are also several art galleries, a community theater, and the Verizon Amphitheater, a 12,000 seat outdoor concert arena that attracts popular performing artists.
You’ll Enjoy the Outdoors
The townhomes at Encore Walk are close to the Big Creek Greenway, an eight-mile paved path that’s perfect for walking, running, biking, and more. If you don’t own a bike, you can borrow one through the Zagster Bike Share Program. There are two bike rental stations along the Greenway.
In all, there are 15 miles of trails and several parks in Alpharetta. Wills Park is home to the Alpharetta Community Garden, an arboretum, an equestrian center, and an off-leash dog park. The Brooke Street Park, located behind City Hall, features a reading garden. You can also enjoy golf, soccer, tennis, swimming, and more outdoor sports in Alpharetta.
All of this is just steps away from Encore Walk. Visit our townhome community and see for yourself why you’ll love living in Alpharetta.
