This year at Traton Homes, we are proud to celebrate our 50th anniversary serving Atlanta area home buyers as they discover ‘Altogether More’ in their new home search! To honor this milestone, we’re giving back by making a donation to HomeAid Atlanta for every new home closed in 2021.
“We are grateful that homebuyers over the past five decades have – over and over again – put their trust in Traton Homes to deliver more in terms of home designs, quality construction and lifestyle,” said Chief Operating Officer Chris Poston. “It’s our honor to have played a role in helping thousands of families find the home of their dreams, and we look forward to helping thousands more as we move forward.”
We pride ourselves on our commitment to home building excellence. We believe this is demonstrated by our combination of innovative design and materials used to create homes with exceptional appeal and lasting value. During our 50 years of building new homes, we’re proud of all that we have achieved including being named the Best Builder in Cobb County in 2019 by Cobb Life Magazine, receiving the GuildMaster Award for Customer Service Excellence seven times, and winning more than 50 OBIE Awards for home building excellence from the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association.
Since our start, Traton Homes has been a family-run business with a diligent and persevering work ethic that our customers can rely on. Currently managing Traton Homes are Chris and Clif Poston, sons of co-founder Bill Poston and nephews of co-founder Millburn Poston. The Postons found inspiration for their work ethic in their grandmother Nellie Clifford Poston, who was committed to her daily work in our offices well into her 90s!
The work ethic instilled by Nellie Poston continues to contribute to our success, including our year-over-year sales growth from 112 homes sold in 2019 to 244 in 2020, despite the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. During this uncertain time, we adapted to COVID-19 concerns by providing home buyers with the option of touring our homes virtually or visiting our homes in person with social distancing protocols in place and thorough cleaning techniques to ensure the comfort of our buyers.
More Traton Homes highlights from 2020 include the close-out of two of our downtown Marietta communities: Mangêt with 38 homes sold in 12 months and Grammercy Park with 31 homes sold within seven months. Last year, we also approached closeout of our 1825 Stilesboro 55-plus community, as well as prepared for the opening of our new active adult communities, Courtyards at Ebenezer in East Cobb and Kirk Ridge in Marietta.
We are currently building in seven Cobb County communities, where our buyers can choose from single-family detached homes, 55-plus ranch courtyard homes and full-featured townhomes. With prices ranging from the high $200,000s through the $500,000s, we build in accessible locations and carefully choose amenities based on the lifestyle of each community we develop.
A nonprofit organization supported by donations of services and materials from members of the building industry, HomeAid Atlanta’s mission is to help families and individuals experiencing homeless create a new life. We are proud to give our support to HomeAid Atlanta and to be able to incorporate the organization, which is also celebrating a milestone anniversary in 2021, into our 50th celebration.
