Thanksgiving is great for spending time around the table sharing memories and lots of laughs, but it’s also a great time to make new memories. When you live in one of our fabulous Cobb County homes, there is always something going on in the community. Here are some activities that you can participate in this week that are sure to make lasting impressions on the entire family:
Gobble Jog: On Thursday morning before you sit down for a delicious meal of turkey and dressing, put on your running shoes and take part in the 10th Annual Gobble Jog. Featuring a Tot Trot for kids five and under, and a 1k, 5k, and 10k walk/run, this event is perfect for the entire family. Registration for the race starts at 7:00 a.m. in Historic Marietta Square and all proceeds from the race benefit MUST Ministries. For more information on this Thanksgiving race, visit www.gobblejog.org.
Lights of Life: If you are looking for something to do on Thanksgiving night, then check out the Lights of Life at Life University. From Thanksgiving night until December 31, 2012, visitors will see a spectacular display of two million lights creating more than a dozen beautiful scenes. This fantastic holiday activity can be enjoyed from the comfort of your own car. Lights of Life is open seven days a week, but additional activities such as a petting zoo, train rides, pony rides and Santa Claus are only available certain days of the week.
