Before you get started, it’s important to purchase the right equipment. While running is great exercise, it is important to protect your feet. A knowledgeable salesperson can help you find the right shoe for your type of foot, but it is helpful to know what type of foot you have. How do you determine if you have flat feet, a high arch or “normal” feet? In addition to just looking at your foot, you can run barefoot in sand or on paper. Just make sure your feet are wet. There are special characteristics with all types of feet, so purchasing a running shoe based on your foot type is important for protecting your feet while you run. Now that you have the right shoe, it’s time to start running. While running on the treadmill is a great option rain or shine, it’s always nice to enjoy the great outdoors while you exercise. When you purchase one of our metro Atlanta homes, you have several opportunities to get a little fresh air while you run.
