Take a family trip to the zoo: Located in historic Grant Park, Zoo Atlanta is the perfect outing for both adults and children. Not just for school field trips, the zoo features more than 200 species of animals and many fun exhibits. Pack a picnic to make a day of it with your friends and family. For an extra special treat, make sure to plan your trip on April 22 for Zoo Atlanta’s Party for the Planet Earth Day celebration.

Spring into festival Season: That’s right. Spring is when we start to see festivals popping up every weekend throughout the metro Atlanta area. Start this weekend by attending the Dogwood Festival at Piedmont Park for music, an artist market and more. Or, celebrate Earth Day at the Sweetwater 420 Fest at Candler Park, also happening this weekend. And, don’t forget the Inman Park Festival on April 27-29 and the Georgia Renaissance Festival, open throughout the spring and summer months.

Get your Cracker Jacks and Peanuts and head on down to Turner Field for a Braves game: Baseball season has officially started. And, spring is the perfect time to catch a game before it gets unbearably hot this summer.
