Father’s Day is right around the corner and you may be scrambling for gift ideas. We think that the best gift you can give someone is time and memories, so we’ve put together a list of places to spend the day with dad near your Traton Home.
The Silver Comet Trail is 61.5 miles long and only 13 miles northwest of the heart of Atlanta. Challenge dad to a bike race or even rollerblading on this non-motorized trail. You can bring the dog, pack a picnic, and let the good times roll!
This 12,000-acre lake is located in Cobb, Cherokee and Bartow counties. From parks to trails and beaches to boating, you will not lack activities to enjoy with dad. There is a $5 per vehicle fee at parks with beaches and a $5 boat launching fee – a small price to pay for a fun-filled day! With a number of marinas located along the lake, it’s easy to rent a boat for a day of fun in the sun.
Do you want to splurge and head into the city but still have that outdoor feel for Father’s Day? The Atlanta Botanical Garden may be the perfect spot for you. This 30-acre botanical garden is a beautiful place to celebrate dad and get that perfect Father’s Day photo op. Children under 3 get in free, children aged 3-12 get in for $18.95, and adults get in for $21.95. They are open for business, although you do have to reserve your tickets ahead of time.
