Livability.com recently named Marietta, Traton’s hometown, among its Top 100 Best Places to Live. We’re not surprised, since Marietta is one of our favorite places to work, play and build new home communities.
To determine the top cities in their annual list, Livability.com considered economics, housing, demographics, education, health care, infrastructure and amenities in cities of up to 1 million residents. For this year’s rankings, they gave extra attention to affordability and diversity/inclusion, which are especially important to Millennials.
“Marietta scored high in the area of housing,” said Kimberly Garwood, Director of Marketing. “Marietta is our hometown and we have built numerous communities in Marietta in our almost 50 years of building homes.”
One of our favorite walkable Marietta communities right now is The Registry at Marietta Square. The intimate community offers just 12 townhomes priced from the high $400,000s. With rear-entry garages, front porches and its very own dog park, The Registry encourages neighbors to get outside. The festivals, dining, shops and theater of the Marietta Square are just a stroll away.
Once our residents come home, they may not want to leave! The townhomes in The Registry at Marietta Square were designed by Roger Caldwell of award-winning Caldwell Cline Architects and Designers. The three-story homes feature chef-style kitchens, luxurious owner’s suites and roomy guest suites. Timeless elevations offer large front porches, with some homes providing both a street-level porch and a second-level porch that becomes an outdoor retreat. On-trend interiors are filled with natural light, enlarging the already generous spaces. Homes have three bedrooms, three and a half baths, and more than 2,600 square feet of living space, with an option for an elevator.
A soon to be Marietta favorite is our recently opened 1825 Stilesboro, our newest age-restricted community for buyers ages 55+. Priced from the high $300,000s, the ranch-style homes provide easy, low-maintenance living. Courtyards, just steps from anywhere in the home, provide a private oasis for gardening, entertaining or just sipping the morning’s first cup of coffee. Each of the open floorplans provides two bedrooms and two baths in one level. Flexible upstairs bonus space is perfect for creating a full guest suite, adding a home office or designing your own media room. Open, flowing interiors include chef’s kitchens and luxurious baths and owner’s suites.
1825 Stilesboro is just minutes from the Marietta Square, Town Center Mall and The Avenue at West Cobb. For recreation, many homeowners enjoy visiting Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park or golfing at the Marietta Country Club, where memberships are available.
