If you and your little one are looking for something to do on your Thursday mornings this June, chug on over to The Southern Museum of Civil War and Locomotive History.
The museum offers a variety of educational programs for preschoolers ages 3-5 and their parents or grandparents. Programs are themed on the museum’s historical exhibits and are a fun way to learn.
The interactive and educational programs have been going on since April and are scheduled to conclude June 30. But don’t fear, some great programs are still on the schedule. Get your calendars ready!
Next Thursday’s program, June 16, will feature painting with dots and is sure to be a favorite. “How Will We Get to the Beach” is the theme of the June 23rd presentation, and the final presentation on June 30 is called “Travel By Rail.”
All programs are held at the Southern Museum from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. The children’s activities are free with the cost of admission to the museum, which is $7.50 for adults, $6.50 for seniors, $5.50 for children aged 4-12 and is free for children under 3 years old. Parking is available at the museum.
