Traton Homes may have beautiful homes and a terrific reputation backed by a hard working staff, but one of the main components to the company’s success is the love of a mother.
Ask any of the Poston brothers or grandsons – Bill, Milburn, Chris or Clif – what is one of the driving forces of success behind Traton Homes, and they’ll tell you it’s Clifford.
At 92, Mrs. Poston is still a familiar face around the Traton Headquarters on Kennesaw Avenue in Marietta. She still comes to work everyday, and its her steady hand and conservative voice that has helped Traton survive the housing downturn. The depression taught Mrs. Poston how to pinch pennies – a trait she instilled in her sons. This trait is one of many reasons home buyers enjoy stunning architecture at a terrific value in their new homes.
Traton Homes was formed at the Sunday dinner table a few years after the death of Clifford’s husband, Red, by Clifford, her sons Bill and Milburn and daughter Marian. The company has remained a family business, with Bill’s sons Clif and Chris coming on board in the late ’90s.
This Mother’s Day, be sure to honor your mother. Moms teach us the valuable lessons that make us who we are today. They have nerves of steel yet hearts of gold.
Thank you Clifford Poston, for providing the guidance Traton Homes needed to build homes for more than 8,000 Atlanta families over 40 years.
Happy Mother’s Day!
