2013 is shaping up to be a great year for selling Cobb County homes and Traton Homes had the opportunity to share the good news on a panel at the recent Women’s Council of REALTORS meeting at MUST Ministries in Marietta.
Participants on the panel included Milburn Poston, co-founder of Traton Homes, as well as representatives from Edward Andrews Homes, Stonecrest, Azalea Homes, Lennar Atlanta, Smith Douglas, Piedmont Residential and About Sales, Inc.
Poston told attendees that one reason the new home market is improving is because there are not enough re-sale homes. Many are looking to buy their first homes or move-up and turn to new construction. Additionally, buyers like purchasing new homes because of quality, great warranties and spectacular features.
In regards to home features, the panel agreed overwhelmingly that Traton is a trendsetter. Traton Homes uses fresh paint colors and offers an array of gorgeous standard features.
Josh Hilscher, vice president of sales and marketing, sat in the audience and explained how buyers were spending more money on kitchens compared to other rooms. Also, he said that the current market is accustomed to good, standard features. For instance, items such as granite countertops are now standard instead of upgrades.
Following the panel, REALTORS in attendance were excited about the improving housing market and the rest of 2013.
At Traton Homes, we are excited about the increase in home sales and buyer demand. In order to keep up with the demand, we will start construction on several new communities throughout 2013.
